Project Overview
A large steel structure manufacturer in the Czech Republic requires frequent transportation of heavy steel components and high-temperature steel ladles during the production process. Due to the low efficiency and safety risks of traditional transportation methods, the customer decided to introduce automated battery rail transfer trolleys to improve production efficiency and protect workers’ safety.

Requirement
was for a total of seven rail transfer trolleys, two battery-powered trolleys to transport steel ladles and one battery powered transfer trolley to be fitted with a platform for workers to stand on.
Challenge
- The customer needed 2 ladle transfer trolleys for the transportation of high temperature steel ladles. Due to the very high temperature of the freshly baked steel, when the ladle is placed on the trolley table, a large amount of heat is transferred through the steel plates of the trolley table to the electrical components inside the trolley, which can be damaged due to the fact that the temperature that the electrical components can withstand is less than 50 degrees Celsius.
- One of the battery railcars, due to the long running distance, needs to be equipped with a platform on the platform, so that workers can stand on the platform and move with it;
- The railcar should ensure automatic stop at the end position to avoid rushing out of the track.
Solution: Refractory Brick + Limit Switch
According to the customer’s demand, Remarkable for ladle transfer trolley, laying refractory bricks on the table top, at the same time, installing a circle of steel plate on the edge of the table top so that it can fix the refractory bricks. With the firebricks in place, the heat from the ladle is insulated, which protects the electrical components inside the trolley and extends the life of the trolley.
For the station man platform car, we inquired about the customer’s needs in detail and designed a rail transfer trolley table top, which was also sent to the customer for confirmation and was approved by the customer.
In terms of guaranteeing the transportation safety, we have equipped limit switch and stop switch in each car, when the railcar is about to reach the end, it will touch the limit switch first, the railcar will start to decelerate, and after running a few meters distance, it will touch the screen to the stop switch, and the equipment will stop running.
